IHM Debuts Flagstaff's First Environmentally-sensitive Boutique Hotel
AUGUST 29, 2008. Forging yet another leadership role in the arena of sustainable tourism for the global community in 2008, Investors Hospitality Management ("IHM") introduces its asset, the Kings House Hotel, historically located at 1560 E. Route 66, Flagstaff, Arizona 86001.
DiGuiseppe notes: "The 56-room retro style, vintage 66 Kings House Hotel borders the Grand Canyon and is set amidst the Coconino National Forest, a national park where the ecotourism movement was born. Home to the astronomy capital of the world and Lowell Observatory; Petrified Forest; Wutpaki National Monument; Meteor Crater; at the border to the Four Corners' entrance to the Hopi, Navajo, Ute and Apache nations, the Kings House Hotel beckons international visitors to experience the range of historic and natural wonders conveniently accessed through Route 66. Sedona, the Museum of Northern Arizona and Northern Arizona University attract those interested to formally or informally appreciate the area's natural beauty and culture."
Stewart Rodier, General Manager of Kings House Hotel, accents the property's recent and upcoming renovations with IHM's signature sustainability features: o Xeriscape landscaping

The Flagstaff train station is literally just a bit more than a mile to the hotel and adjacent to the Flagstaff Convention and Visitors Bureau. It's not every day or everywhere you can hop on a bike and ride into an All-American City!
The Hotel's staff partners with area attractions to ensure their own knowledge and networking with local resources to build relationships and services for guests. IHM's John DiGuiseppe reflects: "While ecotourism is still associated with the natural environment, there is now a sensitivity to the cultural dimension as well, and strong emphasis on engaging and involving communities that surround very valued, high-quality cultural and natural resources.
