New Dining Additions and Upgrades
AUGUST 22, 2008. As Harrah's Resort Atlantic City has evolved into the stylish realm of contemporary elegance with the addition of a glass dome-enclosed, tropical Pool complex with Jacuzzis and cabanas, distinctive Waterfront Shops, an Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa with 23 treatment rooms, and the debut of a 44-story, 960-room Waterfront Tower with glamorous specialty suites, the renowned casino is also raising its culinary profile with the opening of new restaurants and the revitalization of others.
On July 21st, McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurant opened its first casino-based restaurant at Harrah's Resort Atlantic City. Founded 35 years ago in Portland , Oregon , the restaurant is now offering the finest fish and shellfish available to its guests at Harrah's. The extensive menu, which changes daily according to each day's fresh seafood selection, includes dozens of made-to-order dishes and a vast selection of national, international, regional and local species. Customers peruse the restaurant's "Fresh List" to see what delicacies have just been delivered, ranging from Boston 's Grey Sole to Hawaii 's Mahi Mahi.
The first hint of Harrah's culinary rebirth came with the February 2007 opening of a new 620-seat award-winning Waterfront Buffet, distinguished by seven themed stations, each featuring a different mouthwatering specialty prepared to order: Mongolian Barbecue, Brazilian Grill, Asian Wok, Sushi and Dim Sum, American, Italian and Seafood. Not only is the variety of new dishes satisfying and delicious, but the view of The Pool complex provides guests with a true resort setting.
Harrah's next offering was a location to enjoy an informal selection of irresistible eats in the form of local specialty snacks for guests on the run. Enter "Taste of the Shore" -- a promenade offering a sampling of fun food identified with the Jersey Shore and its environs. The mini-food court features Sack O' Subs, home to every possible variety of cold and hot submarine sandwiches, along with the famed cheese steak subs that stretch from Philly all the way to Atlantic City . Also transplanted from the City of Brotherly Love is the Philly Soft Pretzel Factory, and branching out from other Jersey Shore locations is Walt's much-heralded Original Primo Pizza. For a final touch, customers can dig into Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream offered in a myriad of flavors and toppings.
A total redesign of the menu accompanies the "new look" of Reflections Caf'e, Harrah's only 24-hour restaurant. Reflections has been consistently recognized as the best in its category in Atlantic City, and serves a wide array of breakfast dishes, salads, sandwiches, and tantalizing entrees.
