Hilton Anatole Names Jay Best DS&M

DALLAS, TX, August 18, 2008. Dallas' legendary Hilton Anatole Hotel announces the appointment of Jay Best to director of sales and marketing for the newly renovated 45-acre property that houses 1,606 guestrooms.

"Jay's commitment to the hospitality industry and his wealth of knowledge will help guide the Anatole as the hotel approaches its 30th Anniversary," said Marc Messina, general manager for the Hilton Anatole Hotel. "We look forward to Jay's contributions to further enhance and distinguish our legendary hotel."

In his new position as director of sales and marketing, Best will lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives in sales and marketing to achieve business and market plan objectives.

Best brings more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including nearly five years at the legendary Anatole Hotel when it was a Wyndham Hotel property. Most recently, Best served as the director of sales and marketing at Cheyenne Mountain Resort and Country Club of Colorado.

Before Cheyenne, Best was with Sunstone Hotel Investors as regional vice president of sales and marketing responsible for 23 properties throughout the west. Prior to joining Sunstone, Best was with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts where he served as regional vice president of sales for the Western region. After seven years, Best is returning to the Anatole hotel bringing with him proven talent for business development, revenue generation, and significant sales growth through brand positioning.

Early in Best's career, Best held several different positions at Red Lion/Doubletree properties including regional director of sales and marketing. Best attended the University of California at Santa Barbara before embarking on his extensive hospitality career that includes notable positions with a broad portfolio of hotels.
