Benchmark Appoints Mike VanDuzer Director of Facilities

HOUSTON, TX, October 27, 2006. Benchmark Hospitality International has appointed Mike VanDuzer to the position of director of facilities for Cheyenne Mountain Resort of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Laura Neumann, vice president and general manager, made the announcement.
"It is my extreme pleasure to welcome Mike to Cheyenne Mountain Resort," said Ms. Neumann. "He is a rising star within Benchmark with nearly 13 years of exemplary property-based and field support experience in multiple locations. He is a wonderful addition to our executive team."
Mr. VanDuzer was previously director of facilities for Benchmark's east coast flagship property, Lansdowne Resort, located near Leesburg, Virginia. While at Lansdowne, VanDuzer rapidly progressed from duty engineer, to assistant chief engineer, and then to the executive position of director of facilities, overseeing a staff of 16 professionals.
Prior to this, Mr. VanDuzer was employed as an engineer at The Resort at Squaw Creek of Lake Tahoe, California, which was operated by Benchmark Hospitality at the time. Early in his career he was employed by his family's heating and cooling business in New York.
Mike VanDuzer has an Associates Degree in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Electrical Control Wiring from the State University of New York at Delhi. He is certified by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration in pool operation, refrigeration transition and recovery, and waste water management. He and his family reside in Colorado Springs.
