McDougall Heads Sales at Anantara

OCTOBER 23, 2006. Anantara Resorts has appointed Narelle McDougall to the position of Brand Director of Sales.

In her new role, Narelle is responsible for the proactive sales effort for the brand to achieve revenues and ensure the financial performance of existing resorts within the portfolio, and work as a key member of the brand team in the development of sales strategies for forthcoming ventures.

Jonathan Wigley, Group General Manager commented on the appointment, "Narelle is a proven industry leader and will be a great asset to the company. We have assembled a management team that is the best in the business, and this new position will provide invaluable support to our current resorts, while leading and accelerating growth over the next few years."

The experience Narelle brings to Anantara comes from two decades of hospitality sales and marketing - which includes 9 years in Asia.

Prior to joining Anantara Resorts, Narelle was Director of Sales & Marketing for Le Meridien Golf & Spa Resort, Bali were she was responsible for marketing and sales for the resort, golf course and vacation club.

She has also held a range of senior level positions with InterContinental and Parkroyal Hotels.
