InterContinental Expands Candlewood Portfolio in Central Ohio
$10 million Candlewood Suites hotel adds 122 guest suites to Columbus, Ohio
ATLANTA, GA, August 29, 2006. InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG)announced its latest Candlewood Suites hotel opening in Columbus, Ohio (USA). The new 122-room Candlewood Suites hotel is the second to open in the Columbus area.
Guests at the 65,000 sq.-ft. Candlewood Suites Polaris can take advantage of the hotel's just-like-home complimentary amenities, including high-speed internet access, free local phone calls, free on-site guest laundry and a 24-hour fitness center. Unique to Candlewood Suites, guests can also enjoy the convenience of the Candlewood Cupboard(R), where a variety of beverages, breakfast items, snacks, frozen entrees and sundries can be purchased on the honor system at any time, as well as the Gazebo Grill where guests can enjoy cooking out as they would at home. Additionally, guests of the Candlewood Suites Manassas can visit the free Lending Library, where movies and music are available for use in guestrooms, which all feature a VCR/DVD and CD player.

Standard Candlewood Suites guestrooms feature studio or one-bedroom suite floor plans with a full kitchen, large workspace with comfortable desk chair and overhead lighting, overstuffed recliner and VCR/DVD and CD player. The Candlewood Suites Polaris also features an indoor pool and patio as well as complimentary parking.

The Candlewood Suites Polaris is owned by Claris Ltd., Inc under a license agreement with a company in the InterContinental Hotels Group and is managed by IHG. The new property is located at 8515 Lyra Dr., Columbus, Ohio.
