Pacific Hospitality Group Names New Vice President of Investments and Corporate Director of Information Technology and Business Intelligence

Pacific Hospitality Group (PHG) announces the appointment of Paul Rice as its Vice President of Investments and Tom Walston as Corporate Director of Information Technology (IT) and Business Intelligence.

As VP of Investments, Rice will play a key role in expanding the hospitality company's existing portfolio by sourcing and developing new business opportunities that align with PHG's growth strategy.

In his new role, Walston will focus on the development and implementation of strategic IT initiatives and best practices for the company. He will also oversee all current and future projects related to financial, ERP and property management systems, data warehousing and analytics, and guest engagement and satisfaction.

Most recently, Rice was with Wells Fargo Securities in Houston, Texas where he served as Vice President in their energy and power investment banking division. During his tenure with the company, he provided clients with capital markets and merger and acquisition advisory services. In total, Rice executed more than $10 billion of capital markets transactions and more than $3.0 billion of merger and acquisition engagements.

Prior to joining the company, Walston served as Group Director of IT for Miraval Resorts where he oversaw comprehensive IT function for three resorts, and prior to that as Regional Director of Information Technology at La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California. Additionally, he was an integral part of Miraval's brand expansion team where he provided strategic IT guidance to business development. Working his way up the field, Walston has held wide-ranging IT roles at The Cranwell, Monarch Beach Resort, Montelucia Resort & Spa, The Homestead Resort, and Omni Tucson National.
