Benchmark Appoints Executive Chef at North Maple Inn
HOUSTON, TX, March 19, 2007. Benchmark Hospitality International has announced the appointment of Paul Reed Bogardus as executive chef for North Maple Inn, the four diamond property located in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. Dan Santiago, general manager, made the announcement.
"I am so pleased to welcome Paul to the culinary program here at North Maple Inn," said Mr. Santiago. "He brings superb expertise and credentials to his new role as well as significant experience in our market. We look forward to his leadership of our culinary team."
This appointment marks the return of Paul Bogardus to North Maple Inn, having opened the Inn's kitchen as a sous chef twelve years ago. Chef Bogardus most recently served as executive chef for The Grand Cafe, a fine dining French-style restaurant located in Morristown, New Jersey. During his tenure there, the restaurant consistently received high critical ratings. He has also served as executive sous chef at The Bernard's Inn of Bernardsville, New Jersey, with responsibilities in both the Inn's restaurant and banquet operations.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Bogardus served as sous chef at The Rattlesnake Ranch Cafe, located in Denville, New Jersey. He began his culinary career as sous chef for North Maple Inn.
Chef Bogardus is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University, located in Providence, Rhode Island. He and his family reside in East Hanover, New Jersey.
