. October 14, 2008

MARCH 16, 2007. Following a comprehensive search among its member properties to identify a Board Advisor who will identify and advise on emerging trends from the perspective of Generation X and Y, the Board of Directors for the International Association of Conference Centers (IACC) has appointed Warren Call of the Crystal Center at Crystal Mountain in Thompsonville, Michigan as IACC's first Board Associate.

Mr. Call, a 27-year old Sales Manager at Crystal Mountain, already boasts an impressive hospitality career that includes sales, marketing, food and beverage, and operations. Mr. Call is also actively involved with the Michigan Society of Association Executives and the American Red Cross.

Rick Schmitt, Vice President of Sales at Crystal Mountain, nominated Call for the position saying: "Warren would be an outstanding individual to serve as the Board Associate for IACC. His education is diverse, both in terms of geography and discipline and his long-term commitment to the hospitality industry is broad and passionate. I am confident he will be both engaged and dedicated in serving the Board while advising on emerging trends and continuing to position IACC as the significant voice of the conference center industry."

A Michigan native, Call holds a bachelors degree from Michigan State University where he graduated with honors. Seeking to maximize his hospitality experience in the environment of the 21st century, Call completed the International MBA program at St. Johns University in Rome, Italy.

Call looks forward to building on all that IACC has accomplished in its first 25 years and adding the younger perspective of the "Google Generation". "We see things differently," said Warren. "Everything can be done another way. A fresh perspective is always a good thing."

Call will attend all Board meetings beginning with the Annual Conference in April. In addition, he will be assigned to work on an IACC committee and give a final report on his observations and experiences at the Winter Board Meeting in January 2008. He will also assist the Board in addressing the association's ongoing commitment to leadership development.

IACC North America's President, Neil Pompan (CFO of EMCVenues) was delighted with the appointment citing Call's "uniquely appropriate qualifications, his engaging enthusiasm and dedication to the industry." I look forward to working with Warren to help shape the future of IACC and our industry."
