Barcelona - October 16, 2013 - Hotusa Hotels strengthens its leading position in the independent hotel sector, according to the publication of the ranking which is drawn up every year by the prestigious North American journal 'Hotels Magazine'. Consequently, in accordance with the information released (relating to the 2012 financial year), Hotusa Hotels, with 2,604 associated establishments and some 235,000 rooms in 52 countries, would be in strong text first position not only in Spain, but at a European and international level. Keytel, also integrated in Hotusa Group, would occupy fourth position in Europe and fifth in the world (6th last year) with more than 144,000 rooms and some 1,600 hotels, thus reinforcing the growing trend of consolidation of the company.

Hotusa Hotels , which was second consortium in the ranking of 2011, climbed to the first position with an offer that encompasses associated establishments in 27 European European destinations, 17 American countries, 4 Asian countries and 4 African countries. Best Euroasian Hotels, with headquarters in Moscow, and Preferred Hotel Group in Chicago, would follow the Spanish chain, occupying second and third positions respectively. Therefore, Hotusa consolidates a growing trend, in terms of number of associated hotels and countries where the company is present, and Hotels strives for expansion in new tourist destinations.

As regards future tendencies, the American journal predicts an important development of consortia in the coming years.
