Intercontinental Breaks Ground On New Sales Center

ORLANDO, FL, September 13, 2006. Hospitality Development Group has announced the groundbreaking for the much anticipated $1.5 million, state-of-the-art onsite sales center of InterContinental Resort & Residences Orlando at Palazzo del Lago. Located prominently on International Drive, the 4,000 square-foot center will serve as the future headquarters for the Palazzo del Lago sales team, which to date has been selling from Palazzo International Realty, LLC's Orlando office located at 8151 Vineland Ave. The sales center is slated for completion in early November.
To accurately reflect the lush and luxurious environment of the $800 million Palazzo del Lago resort, the new sales center will be lavishly landscaped and well-appointed. Upon entering, visitors will be greeted by a massive scale model of the resort, depicting down to the smallest of details the extraordinary creativity that the world-class Adache Group Architects, Inc. is putting forth in the creation of a classical Italian masterpiece. The interior of the new sales center is the artful work of the esteemed Adache Group and renowned designing firm Duncan & Miller.

Being developed by Hospitality Development Group, Inc. (HDG), The InterContinental Resort & Residences Orlando at Palazzo del Lago will be a world-class, luxury destination resort located two minutes from Walt Disney World(R) and minutes from the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC). It is the first official hotel of the OCCC and will be the largest InterContinental hotel worldwide, offering an extensive list of resort amenities, smart technology, and a comprehensive conference facility with 114,000 square feet of convention, meeting and banquet space.
When the project is complete, Palazzo del Lago will feature the 1,260-room InterContinental Resort & Residences Orlando. Of these 1,260 rooms, 585 one and two-bedroom suites will be offered as hotel-condominium residences. In addition, there will be 994 resort condominiums in five 18-story towers, each with its own private amenities. Both the hotel residences and the resort condominiums will be sold fully furnished and decorated to the exacting standards of the InterContinental Hotels & Resorts brand. Prices for the InterContinental hotel condominiums start from the low $400,000s. Prices for the resort condominiums start from the mid $300s. Reservations are now being accepted. The hotel and hotel-condominiums will be managed by InterContinental Group Management (Maryland) LLC, an affiliate of InterContinental Hotels Group.
