Vantage Hospitality Named to Top 100 Best Companies to Work for in Florida
CORAL SPRINGS, FL - August 6, 2012 - For the third year in a row, Vantage Hospitality Group, Inc., the 8th largest hotel company in the world with over 1,000 locations, has been named as one of Florida's Best Companies To Work For by Florida Trend magazine (#26 in the midsize category). The rankings, which recognize 100 companies out of the thousands throughout the state, appear in the August issue and on FloridaTrend.com.
The Vantage Hospitality family includes the Americas Best Value Inn®, Canadas Best Value Inn®, Chinas Best Value Inn®, Value Inn Worldwide®, Lexington Hotel®, and Lexington Inn® hotel brands. The word family is also a good way to describe the atmosphere at Vantage's corporate headquarters in Coral Springs, which has always enjoyed a high promotion rate, low turnover and harmonious work environment.
Vantage also places a major emphasis on training and education for its employees, and has sponsored hospitality certification classes and other continuing education designed to improve employees' sense of fulfillment and their ability to assist the hotels' owners and operators. This corporate support, along with a dedicated group of employees, resulted in the entire Member Care division earning a Certified Lodging Manager designation in 2012, reflecting an increased understanding of the hotel business, which increases job and personal satisfaction for the employees, makes the company more productive, and results in Vantage's hoteliers enjoying more meaningful assistance that boosts their return on investment.
“Vantage believes strongly in offering the continuing opportunity and challenge of ongoing education. In fact, education is one of our core values, as we support all hotel owners and our corporate team members by 'educating, not mandating.' We're thrilled and honored to be recognized by Florida Trend for the third straight year and this will be a plaque that we'll be very glad to add to our crowded trophy case,” said Chief Operating Officer & Chief Financial Officer Bernie Moyle.
Other accolades for Vantage Hospitality in recent years include: the only hotel company to be named to Inc. magazine's prestigious Inc. 500/5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in each of the last seven years; a six-time winner of Lodging Hospitality magazine's National Chain Leadership Award; over three dozen national and international marketing awards over the last six years, including two prestigious Gold Magellan Awards from Travel Weekly; the Hotel Vikas Diamond Award for Best Franchisor in 2010 and 2011; and Vantage President & CEO Roger Bloss being named the 2006 and 2010 Innovator of the Year by Lodging magazine and to Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International's 2009 Top 25 Most Extraordinary Minds in Sales & Marketing.
To be considered for Florida Trend's list, companies or government entities had to employ at least 15 workers in Florida and have been in operation at least one year. Companies that chose to participate underwent an evaluation of their workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The process also included a survey to measure employee satisfaction. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking.
