Tangerine Hotel Celebrates New Name & Renovation
July 23, 2012 - Tangerine Hotel is celebrating a new name, a new look, and a refreshingly chic yet competitive hotel offering.
When Amitesh Damudar stepped into the role of owner/operator, he embarked on a complete renovation with a vision of blending contemporary cool with a distinctly creative personality. Capturing the charm of the '50s-era property, the new design of Tangerine employs bold strokes of color and artistic imagery with a dash of whimsy.
“We worked within the obvious limitations of an older motel property and utilized minimalist elements such as wood, glass, metal and concrete to create a modern and colorful visual experience while retaining the retro charm of the original structure,” says Amitesh. “We also wanted to redefine the classic motel room experience by offering our guests a complete upgrade in overall quality and service. It really is motel version 2.0.”
Tangerine is within walking distance of Warner Bros. Studios and within minutes of Universal Studios, Walt Disney Studios, and Dreamworks Animation, as well as popular destinations like Hollywood and the Sunset Strip. Featuring custom-designed artwork, rooms at the Tangerine Hotel are comfortably appointed with contemporary furniture, ceasar-stone counter tops and Grohe fixtures.
