The Ranch at Rock Creek Welcomes Maja Kilgore as GM
March 14, 2012 - Montana's newest luxury guest ranch, The Ranch at Rock Creek, is pleased to announce the appointment of Maja Kilgore as general manager. Ms. Kilgore brings a 20-year history in the luxury hospitality industry to the Ranch.
Ms. Kilgore joins The Ranch at Rock Creek directly following a four-year role as general manager at Laucala Island in Fiji. Her career also includes tenures at several Relais & Chateaux properties, including Burg Schlitz, Alpenhof Murnau and Hotel Geiger in Germany, and the Matahari Beach Resort in Indonesia, in addition to several tropical resorts, country retreats and city hotels worldwide.
“I believe in a personal, hand's on approach toward management,” says Kilgore. “Living on tropical islands and remote country sides for several years provided me a broad knowledge and appreciation of the simple things in life, and I look forward to calling The Ranch at Rock Creek and Montana home.”
Ms. Kilgore hails from Germany and is a graduate of Tegernsee Hotelschool. Her specialties include hotel & resort management, spa management, finance, agriculture and farming. She is also well versed in conceptualizing and coordinating special events, from weddings and family gatherings, to photo shoots and traditional hunting events.
