Fairmont Simplifies and Streamlines Check-in/Check-Out Process
October 27, 2011 - Most travelers want to hit the ground running as soon as they step foot in their hotel, whether it's dashing off to a meeting or hightailing it to a museum. That's why Fairmont will soon be offering members of Fairmont President's Club, the brand's complimentary guest loyalty program, and guests of Fairmont Gold the opportunity to check-in and -out online, making hotel arrival and departure easy and efficient. The new service, which is being rolled out in North America over the coming months, will let guests check-in via laptop, smartphone or any other web-connected device and seamlessly pick up their room key and more before settling into their favorite Fairmont hotel.
“For our guests, the difference is in the details,” said Brian Richardson, Vice President, Brand Marketing for Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. “Treating our guests as individuals is important to us and we're committed to serving their needs in every way possible. While many of our guests appreciate the personalized and thoughtful service that has become synonymous with a stay at Fairmont, a number also value convenience and efficiency to make their travel experience an enjoyable one. Service comes in many different forms and I'm happy that we've been able to streamline the arrival and departure process for guests seeking this type of expedited option.”
Before they arrive, members of Fairmont President's Club and guests of Fairmont Gold in North America will soon start to receive an 'I'm On My Way' email with an invitation to check-in online at Fairmont hotels in North America. Guests can choose to provide their arrival time and method of transport, and when their room is prepared they will receive a “Your Room is Ready” email with directions to the hotel and instructions on where to pick up their room key. Prior to check-in, guests can also make special requests or alert hotel colleagues of any particular needs or concerns via a special pre-arrival email. Before their stay is over, guests will receive an 'Easy Departure' email that will allow them to check out online and receive their receipt by email, making every part of their stay with Fairmont as smooth as possible. Widely available in North America, Fairmont will continue rolling out the program throughout 2012.
Members of Fairmont President's Club, the brand's complimentary guest loyalty program, receive personalized service and benefits so that travelers can make the most out of their visits. Not only does the program track individual guest preferences across the brand, members have access to amenities that will truly enhance their stay such as complimentary high-speed internet access, health club access, courtesy printing of boarding passes, and complimentary use of TaylorMade golf clubs. Additionally, a popular member benefit is “Great Rates-Great Dates” email promotions, highlighting exclusive offers at some of the brand's most sought after destinations.
