Eamon O'Brien Named DoS for Grand Hyatt New York

New York - October 27, 2011 - Grand Hyatt New York, the landmark property nearing culmination of its $130 million renovation, has welcomed Eamon O'Brien as the Director of Sales. In his new position, O'Brien provides leadership to the day-to-day operations of the Sales Department, while upholding the property's excellent level of service. As the storied property puts the finishing touches on its $130 million complete renovation, O'Brien's role is integral to the historic hotel's next era of success.

O' -Brien has more than nine years of experience in the hospitality industry. Already a member of the Hyatt family, O'Brien relocated to New York after serving as the Associate Director of Sales for the Hyatt Regency in Chicago. Prior to his role at the Hyatt Regency, O'Brien served as the Director of Sales & Marketing at the Courtyard by Marriott Magnificent Mile. He spent several years working as a Senior Account Executive and Sales Manager at the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile and as a Sales Manager at the Courtyard by Marriott Chicago Downtown before beginning his career in operations for Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile.
