October 25, 2011 - Situated at the sophisticated end of Collins Avenue, the 340-room Gansevoort Miami Beach has recently undergone a series of upgrades to enhance the guest experience.
The vast, bright lobby has been improved with reupholstered furniture topped by silk accent pillows, high-end, textured wallpaper, colorful decor and newly designed columns that stay true to the resort's SoBe style. The 40,000-gallon shark tank was re-tiled with a custom blend mosaic Italian Bisazza glass tile.
Guests will notice a gorgeous mosaic backsplash has been added to the bar at The Pool Plaza and the infinity-edge, ocean view pool, set within a sprawling Brazilian Ipe deck, has been completely redone. New sun chairs can now be found on The Rooftop for additional seating and both The Rooftop and The Pool Plaza were revamped with new pillow covers, lounge cushions and a fresh wood stain offering guests a luxurious escape. The mezzanine level, where the spacious conferences, meeting and event spaces lie, received a total makeover with new carpeting, paint, artwork and lighting. Guests will be pleased to know that all of the rooms and suites are undergoing a deep cleaning and balconies throughout the building are being upgraded. Outside of the hotel, the sidewalk and valet area has been revived with a fresh coat of paint setting a vibrant, inviting tone.
