Travel & Leisure's World's Best Awards Readers' Survey
New York, NY - July 8, 2010 - Palazzo Sasso in Ravello, Italy today was named Best Resort in Europe in Travel + Leisure's 2010 World's Best Awards readers' survey.

This is the 15th anniversary of the survey. A questionnaire was made available to Travel + Leisure readers at TLWorldsBest.com from December 15, 2009, to March 31, 2010. Respondents for resorts and hotels were asked to rate them on five characteristics -- rooms/facilities, location, service, restaurants/food and value.* “Given the competition, this is amazing for us. Palazzo Sasso is a stunning five star hotel on Italy's famous Amalfi coast. It was built during the 12th century as a palace for royalty. It opened as a hotel following World War II but closed during the 1970s. The hotel reopened in July 1997, following a $20 million refurbishment.
