Wolff Building a Hyatt Place on the FSU Campus in Fresno, CA

. October 14, 2008

FRESNO, CA, November 14, 2006. Hyatt Place, Global Hyatt's rapidly growing select service brand, announced today it has signed a deal with Wolff Urban Development to develop a Hyatt Place hotel in Fresno, California as part of the new Campus Pointe project being developed by Lance-Kashian & Company.

The 197-room Hyatt Place Campus Pointe will bring a new type of hospitality experience to Fresno by reflecting the comfort, flexibility, technology and taste people incorporate into their daily lives. This view is consistent with the overall goals of the Campus Pointe project. It will be place where you live, work and play in an environment designed to meet the needs of your daily life," said Tracy Kashian, Marketing Director, Lance-Kashian & Company.

Scheduled to open in Winter 2008, Hyatt Place Campus Pointe will feature indoor and outdoor spaces for weddings, reunions, and meetings. Hyatt Place Campus Pointe will offer a myriad of services and amenities to help guests seamlessly continue their everyday life in an environment specially crafted to help them be more productive, relaxed and fulfilled.

Similar to what travelers might experience at home, guests of Hyatt Place Campus Pointe can spread out in their spacious, contemporary guestrooms, taking advantage of free Wi-Fi access while stretched out on the signature Hyatt Grand Bed(TM) or the Cozy Corner sectional sofa. They can also catch the evening news, the big game or the latest feature movies on the 42-inch flat panel, high- definition television offering 11 channels of high-definition programming in addition to an already impressive channel selection.

The innovation extends beyond the guestroom and into the lobby with the Gallery, a warm and open area that features a personal greeting from the Gallery Host, as well as a self-registration kiosk, an intimate coffee and wine cafe, free Wi-Fi, a TV den and e-room with free access to a public computer and printer. Guests at Hyatt Place Campus Pointe will also enjoy a free continental breakfast each morning or they may purchase a signature hot breakfast along with Starbucks(R) specialty coffees. Hyatt Place Campus Pointe also offers a variety of freshly prepared, caf'e quality entr'ees, including sandwiches, soups, salads and pizza which guests can order 24 hours a day, seven days a week via a touch screen menu or from the personable Gallery Host.

"Before we began development on Hyatt Place, we took a look at the way people are living their lives today and found that while lifestyles were changing, the select service hotel experience had become stagnant," said Jim Abrahamson, senior vice president of development and acquisition for Hyatt Corporation. "That feedback, along with feedback from the development community, enabled us to design Hyatt Place in a way that mirrored people's daily lives while making sure the cost-per-key was competitive in the market."

"Hyatt's prestige, the stylish design and success of the existing hotels made the brand a natural fit for such city as dynamic as Fresno," said David L Strong, Wolff Urban Development. "We're thrilled to be onboard with a brand as forward thinking as Hyatt Place."

Hyatt Place Campus Pointe is located the north side of Shaw Avenue between Chestnut and Highway 168 directly across from the Save Mart Center on the Fresno State University campus.

More than 120 additional Hyatt Place hotels will open in 2007 in key business and leisure markets, including Chicago, Dallas, Phoenix, Atlanta, Nashville, Phoenix, Tampa, Miami, Orlando and Detroit, as well as throughout the country. Hyatt Place Chicago/Lombard/Oak Brook, located just outside Chicago, opened in August 2006.
