GVB Searches for Official Representation in China
TUMON, Guam, August 15, 2008. The Guam Visitors Bureau has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) to secure the services of a General Sales Agent (GSA) to represent Guam in the world's fastest growing tourism market, China. The RFP solicits the services of established sales and marketing agencies interested in representing Guam and promoting the island as a world class destination in China's leisure destination market.
The winning applicant will be responsible for marketing the island through various channels, collaborating with industry stakeholders to produce targeted goals, and providing market intelligence for management's use. In December 2007, the United States and China signed a Memorandum of Understanding designed in part to facilitate the growth of leisure travel and the new GSA will insure that Guam receives its fair share of this lucrative tourism market.
Qualified agencies interested in obtaining a copy of the RFP for GSA services in China for Guam may pick up a copy of the packet at the GVB offices in Tumon, Guam between the hours of 8 am to 5 pm. RFP packets may also be downloaded from GVB's website at www.visitguam.org/main
Proposals must be submitted in writing to GVB no later than 5:00 pm Chamorro (Guam) Standard time on Tuesday, September 2, 2008. All inquiries and/or questions should be directed to the GVB General Manager, Mr. Gerald S.A. Perez.
