PORTLAND, ME, July 14, 2008. Portland Harbor Hotel Concierge Linda Carey was recently accepted into the prestigious Les Clefs d'Or USA concierge organization. Membership application is rigorous, making acceptance a great honor. Carey joins David Costa, another Concierge at Portland Harbor Hotel, in Les Clefs d'Or membership, and they are the only certified Les Clefs d'Or concierges in Maine. Members of this global organization are present in such hotels as The Peninsula Beverly Hills, Ritz Carlton New York, and The Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris.

Les Clefs d'Or USA is the only national organization of hotel lobby concierges. It is translated from the French to mean "keys of gold." Members of the exclusive organization wear a lapel pin of crossed gold keys, the international symbol of the organization which signifies assurance of concierge experience, and a dedication to providing the highest quality service. The keys displayed on a concierge's lapels assure travelers they are dealing with a seasoned professional, one who is dedicated to serving the guests' every need.

The Portland Harbor Hotel takes great pride in delivering a superior level of professionalism, etiquette, and overall experience, and this is represented through their expert concierge staff. Hotel General Manager Gerard Kiladjian spoke of the honor and difficulty this accomplishment represents, "The application process for Les Clefs d'Or certification is intensive and requires the utmost dedication. We are very proud of Linda's achievement, and her hard work continues the hotel's tradition of serving our guests with the utmost attention to detail and professionalism."
