Reports of up to 50% of bookings deriving from this rapidly evolving distribution channel

. October 14, 2008

OCTOBER 25, 2006. At EFT Berlin 2006 earlier this week, affiliate marketing initiatives and strategy were the main talking point for many delegates. Some of the largest intermediaries reported a significant shift towards affiliate marketing-derived bookings. Between 25-50 % of bookings are now estimated to derive from this relatively young marketing strategy.

So, now that this trend has been recognised, what decisions need to be taken by travel companies in terms of their affiliate marketing strategy? Should companies look at setting up an in-house affiliate marketing program or should they join one of the increasingly competitive affiliate networks?

Brian Pratt, VP e-Commerce, Starwood Resorts & Hotels will be helping you address these questions at this year's Travel Distribution Technology conference on 6th & 7th November 2006 at the Hilton, Canary Wharf, London. He will be talking about Starwood's experiences in this rapidly shifting marketing arena.
