Resort Will Showcase New D'ecor, Style and Distinct Approach To Personalized Service This Winter
MANALAPAN, FL, October 13, 2006. The Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach will pay tribute to the mystique of Palm Beach and raise the bar on resort service and ambiance when the completely redesigned property debuts this winter. Scheduled to re-open Holiday 2006 after $60 million in investments, the expansion features design elements that bring the hotel's architecture in tune with its upscale destination and sophisticated clientele. The resort represents a benchmark for The Ritz-Carlton brand, a first-of-its-kind approach to service will be incorporated into the guest experience.
Each carefully appointed element of the 310-room resort delivers a feeling of stylishness and a true connection to the Palm Beach way of life. The needs and interests of today's well-traveled guest will be met by innovative new amenities and facilities, as well as the property's exceptionally trained staff (a Ritz-Carlton hallmark). And, a new sense of ease and accessibility will be brought to life by a breezy, open feeling evidenced throughout the oceanfront resort.
The new vacation experience at The Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach begins upon arrival, with a redesigned entrance and porte cochere enhanced with lush landscaping and fountains. Guests will catch a first glimpse of the ocean, and new design elements, as they approach the lobby and are greeted by the "ladies and gentlemen" of Ritz-Carlton in stylish, destination-inspired uniforms. The warmth and grandeur of the new foyer, with its stunning unobstructed view to the ocean, is also a first immersion to Palm Beach. When a guest steps foot into The Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach, they have arrived.
Key new aspects of the resort:
-- The new expansive 3,000 square-foot oceanfront terrace featuring a 55-foot-long water fountain wall provides an ideal setting for outdoor dining, and after-hours cocktails. By night, the ocean vistas are illuminated by the glowing light of the terrace fire pit.
-- Three inspiring new restaurants will be unveiled, under the direction of a new Chef de Cuisine and Executive Chef. The specialty dining room has a trendy, contemporary feel with an upscale approach. Distinctive design elements include a functional wine wall flowing from the entrance through the dining room; underlit onyx table with scattered votives enhance the chic ambiance. The menu will highlight regional fresh cuisine with seafood and steak specialties.
-- The new caf'e is a lively gathering spot where oceanfront dining is the best in the area, situated on the ocean's edge and featuring custom cocktails, light bites and the best view in town.
-- All-day dining reaches new levels with a restaurant offering outdoor seating and unparalleled ocean views with a Floridian-inspired cuisine for breakfast, lunch and brunch. Dinner features an Italian focus on the menu.
-- New Oceanfront Suites are chic and redesigned to offer amenities and d'ecor with a distinct approach to style. Suites will have invisible televisions in the master bathroom - cleverly hidden behind the mirror and only visible when turned on. Seven-jet oversized showers are new as is the unique free-standing soaking tubs with views of the ocean allowing guests to bathe and bask in the beauty of The Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach. The completed renovation of each suite has a price tag of more than $100,000.
-- The resort will offer a wireless computer network and enhanced cellular telephone reception throughout the property. Each room will feature a 32" HDTV LCD flatscreen television and bedside remote control "pamper panels" to adjust lighting, temperature and more. A new series of turndown amenities will add a personal touch to the in-room guest experience.
-- Appealing to adult guests and enhancing a popular spot for weddings and special events, a second pool has been added. The new Tranquility swimming pool overlooking the ocean will be nestled in the courtyard area.

Don't look for a check-in desk - as part of the new service standard at The Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach, guests will enter the spa and be personally greeted by a host who guides them to the relaxing seating area. A new Spa guest room category allows guests to continue the spa feeling in their sleeping room. The Grand Spa debuts in summer 2007.
