The attention-grabbing transformation, slated for completion by January 2007, will encompass the electrifying makeover of the new signature "Great Room," formerly known as the hotel lobby, all 486-guestrooms, concierge rooms and lounge, ballrooms and fitness center. Enjoy special Thanksgiving and holiday rates from only $119 per room, per night, through January 1, 2007*. "The contemporary themed d'ecor and high-tech amenities will ensure that each guest is comfortable, resulting in increased work productivity while on the road," said General Manager, Roy Nassau. Owned by DiamondRock Hospitality Company and managed by Marriott International, Inc., the property is exceptionally located, five minutes from the Orlando International Airport, where complimentary shuttle service is provided, and just eleven miles from the Orange County Convention Center and downtown Orlando.
The creative new "Great Room" concept will showcase distinctive zones, strategically designed to accommodate globetrotting travelers who consistently transition from work, relaxing, socializing and play throughout the day. Sleep tight at night with the Revive? bedding package incorporating plusher mattresses, softer sheets and more pillows, set amidst a backdrop of warm gold hues and striking red and burgundy accents. Soundproof windows and cordless handset phones, complimented by richly appointed baths boasting new granite vanities, mirrors, spacious showers and enhanced lighting will surely enhance the overall guest room experience.
The latest addition to the 26,000 square-feet of flexible meeting space is the new 3,500 square-foot Capri Ballroom, featuring expansive French doors leading to a scenic outdoor patio, an ideal venue for a wedding reception or corporate meeting, while the Vista Jr. Ballrooms received stunning makeovers as well. Concierge Rooms will also be revamped and the lounge will debut flat panel televisions to catch the latest news or sports game.
