Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts Ranked Best Hotel Employer 2015 by Future Hoteliers

. March 17, 2015

Lausanne - March 17, 2015 - The third pillar of the Young Hoteliers Summit, the Hotel Employer Ranking, aims to identify the most desirable employers in the hotel industry as judged by young hoteliers worldwide. It gives insights into the views and priorities of the future generation and recognizes the companies that are at the forefront of employment practices.

This year the survey was completed by students and alumni originating from 99 countries and 47 different institutions. A total of 1'137 respondents filled out the survey with a completion rate of 64%. The results show that respondents value career advancement, learning opportunities, and empowerment in terms of employment criteria.

YHS would like to congratulate Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts on their first place ranking. They were voted best in terms of brand image of the company, job location, and salary. Rachel Begbie (Senior Director of Human Resources, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts) shared her excitement on behalf of Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts as employee experience is of great importance for their brand and the reputation they have built. They are pleased to be recognized by young hoteliers as the Best Hotel Employer 2015.

In second and third place, YHS congratulates Taj Hotels, Resorts and Palaces and FRHI Hotels & Resorts, respectively. As Challenge Provider 2014, FRHI Hotels & Resorts have proven their commitment to implementing the results of the challenge within their Employee Value Proposition: CONNECT - GROW - LIVE.

The Peninsula Hotels and Hyatt Hotels Corporation rounded out the top five hotel employers.

Challenge Provider Dorchester Collection placed 7th this year, up from 29th in 2014, and was voted the best in terms of learning opportunities. Eugenio Pirri (Vice President, People and Organisational Development, Dorchester Collection) was delighted with the result and said it was thanks to the dedication of Dorchester Collection to developing their employees through their academy, mentorship and learning opportunities.

The key advice respondents had for employers to become more desirable is to be present at career fairs, contact students personally, and post vacancies on job platforms.

Young Hoteliers Summit would like to thank our most loyal partner and the Hotel Employer Ranking 2015 sponsor Expedia.
