Sheraton Atlanta to Feature Connection Destination
“Link@Sheraton experienced with Microsoft” will give Atlanta travelers new networking opportunities
ATLANTA, GA, July 22, 2008. Guests in search of the ultimate sense of belonging need look no further. The Sheraton Atlanta Hotel (www.sheratonatlantahotel.com), one of downtown Atlanta’s premier meeting and convention properties, and winner of numerous industry awards for outstanding service and quality, announced today its plans to install the Link@Sheraton experienced with Microsoft, a new lounge destination pioneered to help travelers remain connected to what matters to them most.
In partnership with Microsoft, technology is the backbone of the Link@Sheraton and will serve as the hotel’s latest communication hub for offering guests one-of-a-kind networking opportunities. With the first phase of product installment presently underway, the Link will include a distinctive furniture and technology package complete with multiple all-in-one workstations designed to exclusively meet the needs of every guest.
“This new concept will quickly set the bar for what guests networking in a luxury downtown hotel expect,” said Kevin Kobishop, Sheraton Atlanta’s General Manager. “The physical design of the Link@Sheraton experienced with Microsoft is driven by our core values of Warm, Comforting, Connections, and will open up an exciting new place for guests to recollect during their journey in downtown Atlanta. This new amenity will deliver an original connection destination for travelers to work, relax and feel part of a community, and we’re looking forward to presenting our visitors with an even greater sense of belonging.”
The Link@Sheraton will provide 24-hour complimentary access to computers equipped with Internet and web cam abilities, Ethernet data ports for laptops, easily accessible electrical outlets for power, as well as free printing services and WIFI access allowing guests to email, search the Web, review local attractions and even print up boarding passes. In addition to digital connectivity, a food and beverage component will also channel social interactions and enhance the overall benefits afforded to visitors of the Link@Sheraton experienced with Microsoft.
The project is expected to be completed on the world-class hotel’s third floor in September 2008, and travelers are already looking forward to having access to a connected digital community and an exclusive venue in which to interact with other guests.
“The Link reflects Sheraton’s commitment to deliver popular, unique and unexpected offerings to our guests and is an exciting pillar of Sheraton’s comprehensive effort to further differentiate our iconic brand,” said Hoyt H. Harper, II, Senior Vice President for the Sheraton Brand.
Sheraton’s corporate branded lobby concept will convey a bold, positive change at the Sheraton Atlanta while still maintaining the downtown Atlanta property’s contemporary look and feel.
Themed around all things “Warm, Comforting and Connecting,” Sheraton Atlanta Hotel’s signature onsite characteristic will remain its indoor/outdoor poolside Garden Courtyard with fully retractable roof. Perfect for accommodating receptions and events with up to 1,000 attendees, the elegant centerpiece boasts 17,000 square feet of flexible function space richly landscaped throughout with lush, live greenery and conveniently features a water fountain accent, as well as a Jaccuzi spa.
The Sheraton Atlanta is one of the most unique leisure and convention properties in Atlanta’s downtown hotspot. Offering everything from a convenient walking-distance to the area’s most popular attractions and exclusive Starwood Preferred privileges, to 760 beautifully renovated guest rooms with 12 contemporary suites, Sheraton Atlanta has something for every traveler.
