Rosenthal Joins Pheasant Run Resort as GM

Industry veteran takes the helm at Midwest’s largest entertainment resort

JULY 18, 2008. Oakbrook Hotels Inc. is pleased to announce that Diane Rosenthal has been assigned as the new General Manager of Pheasant Run Resort, the Midwest’s largest entertainment resort, located less than an hour from downtown Chicago in charming St. Charles, Ill.

“We are delighted Diane has chosen to join Pheasant Run Resort and welcome her to this fun & entertaining property. Diane is an industry veteran with nearly 25 years of experience in the hospitality field and much of that time has been spent leading hotel & resort properties in the greater Chicago area,” said Joe Pinto, Vice President of Operations for Oakbrook Hotels & Resorts. “Diane’s track record of leading large, multi-faceted properties toward greater success is well known within our industry and we are fortunate to have her on board.”

Most recently, Rosenthal was associated with Wyndham International, where she converted and repositioned a suburban Wyndham hotel into an IACC certified hotel & conference center. Prior to that, she was a long time leader in Dolce International, a conference center management company, where she managed several different conference center properties, including Oakbrook Hills Resort located in the west suburbs of Chicago.

Rosenthal has been the recipient of many industry awards including Business Ledger’s Annual Award for Business Excellence; the Pinnacle Award from Successful Meetings magazine; the Award of Excellence from Corporate and Incentive Travel magazine and a Merit and Distinction Award from Medical Meetings magazine.

She is very active in hospitality industry associations and has contributed her time and expertise to many organizations including: the DuPage Convention & Visitor’s Bureau where she served as Past President and longtime member; the DuPage General Manager’s Association where she was a Founding Member; and the International Association of Conference Centers, where she served on the quality committee, added Pinto.
