Outrigger Reef on the Beach Names GM

William (Bill) T. Comstock

HONOLULU, HI, May 8, 2008. Kimberly Agas, Vice President-Operations, Beachfront Division, is pleased to announce the appointment of William (Bill) T. Comstock as General Manager of the Outrigger Reef on the Beach effective May 1, 2008. In his position, Comstock is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the property, as well as planning, organizing, and directing all hotel services, ensuring a balance between customer satisfaction, effective business management, and financial viability for the property. In addition, Comstock is responsible for overseeing the current $110 million redevelopment of the property that is repositioning this well-known beachfront resort into an extraordinary new vacation experience on Waikiki Beach offering a haven of elegance, gracious hospitality and unparalleled commitment to Hawaiian culture.

Comstock has an extensive background in management and hospitality operations that spans nearly 30 years in Hawaii and across the United States. Much of that time was spent with the nationally branded Doubletree Hotels, a member of the Hilton Hotels family. He's worked in Washington, D.C.; Arlington, Virginia; Largo, Maryland; Sonoma, California, and in Waikiki, Hawaii at the Doubletree Alana Hotel.

Throughout his career, Comstock has touched just about every department of a hotel, from sales and marketing, to reservations, to catering and conference services, to food and beverage. He has directed a number of major hotel renovations throughout his career, has participated in several hotel brand conversions and even contributed to the development of computerized forecasting and account management software. Under his leadership, the Doubletree Hotel Sonoma Wine Country received the Hilton Spirit award as one of the top hotels in the Doubletree system for financial results and customer satisfaction.

Comstock joins the Outrigger Reef from his most recent position as general manager of the Pacific Beach Hotel. Prior to joining Outrigger, Comstock held the general manager position for the prestigious Outrigger Canoe Club, one of Oahu's best-known private clubs, where he was involved in every aspect of operations and member relations.
