Fairmont Washington, DC Promotes Jason Dalling to Executive Chef

MAY 8, 2008. George Terpilowski, general manager of The Fairmont Washington, D.C., is pleased to announce the promotion of Jason Dalling to executive chef.

Chef Dalling brings a wealth of knowledge to his new position at The Fairmont Washington, D.C. Originally from Vancouver, British Columbia, he began cooking professionally at 14 in local restaurants. At 18, he moved to Edmonton, Canada and sought work in prominent restaurants while enrolled in formal culinary training to earn certification.

After working in fine dining rooms and various hotel companies in the area, he had the opportunity to work for a company known as Canadian Pacific, which is today Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. Chef Dalling has now been with Fairmont for over 16 years. He has worked at The Fairmont Hotel MacDonald and The Fairmont Jasper Lodge in Canada. He joined The Fairmont Washington, D.C. in 2004 as executive sous chef, and earned the hotel's Leader of the Year Award in 2007. In his spare time, he travels, rides motorcycles, strives to maintain a "green lifestyle” and lives life to the fullest.
