Harris to Open Candlewood Suites in Columbia, SC

Hotel a JV Between American Hotel Development and Glenmont Capital Management, LLC

COLUMBIA, SC, May 5, 2008. Mr. Brian Jungling, Vice President of Operations for Harris Hotel Group hosted dignitaries from Richland County and the City of Columbia to hard hat construction tours of the 112-room Candlewood Suites Hotel located here. Set to open May 20, 2008 this property is the first in the Candlewood Suites brand to enter the Columbia/ Ft. Jackson, South Carolina market. The all-suite, extended stay hotel is being developed by American Hotel Development Partners in a joint venture with Glenmont Capital Management, LLC. The hotel’s operations, sales and marketing will be professionally managed by Harris Hotel Group.

Mr. Jungling’s comments were followed by a warm welcome from the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Don Clary, Senior Account Executive for the Chamber spoke on their behalf. “We are extremely excited to welcome the Candlewood Suites Hotel to the City of Columbia, South Carolina. The addition of a new extended stay hotel will be an excellent addition to the Ft. Jackson area of Columbia, South Carolina,” said Mr. Clary.

The Candlewood Suites, Columbia/Ft. Jackson, South Carolina is conveniently located near the intersection of I-77 and Garners Ferry Road exit 9. The beautiful property is situated in the heart of the Columbia Metropolitan area and is within minutes of the Columbia Metropolitan Airport, Ft. The hotel is the first joint venture of Sarasota-based American Hotel Development Partners and affiliates of New York-based real estate investment firm Glenmont Capital Management, LLC to pursue the development of extended stay hotels in select markets throughout the United States.
