Doubletree Opens Fayetteville, NC Property

MAY 2, 2008. Doubletree Hotels welcomes a new addition to its North Carolina portfolio with the opening of the Doubletree Hotel Fayetteville. This 148-room, full-service hotel is ideally located in scenic Cumberland County just 50 miles south of Raleigh-Durham and is located minutes away from Fort Bragg, Pope Air Force Base, the Crown Center, Fayetteville State University and the many attractions of the North Carolina Sandhills. Formerly the Fayetteville Hotel and Conference Center, this conversion is part of an $8 million renovation project

The Doubletree Hotel Fayetteville is operated by FHCC, LLC under a franchise license agreement with a wholly owned subsidiary of Hilton Hotels Corporation.

“The Doubletree Hotel Fayetteville is situated in an ideal location halfway between New York and Florida along the highly traveled Interstate 95 tourist corridor in one of North Carolina’s fastest growing communities,” said Dave Horton, senior vice president – brand management for Doubletree Hotels. “This ninth North Carolina Doubletree hotel is another great example of our commitment to growing the Doubletree brand throughout the Southeast United States and around the world.”

The spacious guest rooms and suites at the Doubletree Hotel Fayetteville have been significantly updated. Residential-style comforts include complimentary high-speed Internet access; MP3 compatible, stereo clock radios; Wolfgang Puck® gourmet, in-room coffee service; and the brand’s signature Sweet Dreams® by Doubletree sleep experience. Guest bathrooms have been dramatically redesigned to include Neutrogena® bath and body products, upgraded lighting, new vanities with granite counters, framed mirrors and a curved shower rod that allows for 20% more space in the shower. With fourteen suites in total with upgraded services and amenities, the hotel features an array of bridal, whirlpool, executive and presidential suites.

Business travelers can enjoy large workspaces with outlets at desk height; ergonomic desk chairs; and virtual in-room printing services in every guestroom. A 24-hour, self-service business center is also convenient for those last-minute office needs.

The comprehensive 17,000 square feet of meeting space at the Doubletree Hotel Fayetteville, including a 7,200 sq. ft. grand ballroom, can easily accommodate events of most any size and style of up to 600 guests. A dedicated meetings team can help to create complete, turn-key events such as business conferences, training seminars, wedding receptions, award banquets or social galas.

To unwind at the beginning or end of a long day, guests at the Doubletree Hotel Fayetteville may enjoy a heated indoor pool or the brand’s signature Fitness by Precor® facility that has been upgraded with the latest in cardio and weight training equipment. Delicious American cuisine is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Marquis Bistro. Room service also is available.

Members of the Hilton HHonors? guest reward program may earn Points & Miles® for every qualifying stay at the Doubletree Hotel Fayetteville. Hilton HHonors is the only hotel program that allows any of its members to reap Double Dip? earnings by simultaneously accumulating both airline miles and hotel points with each qualifying stay at more than 3,000 hotels worldwide. And with No Blackout Dates, as long as a standard room is available, members can confirm that room using their HHonors points.

“We are truly proud to present Cumberland County and the city of Fayetteville with a Doubletree Hotel Fayetteville that is $8 million better. Our hotel team is excited by all of these new improvements and committed to become one of the ideal hotels for business, leisure and military travelers in the region,” said Geo Livingston, hotel general manager. “Not only will our guests now receive rewards with one of the best travel reward programs in the industry, they will be warmly welcomed with the delicious, fresh-baked chocolate chip cookie that is distinctively Doubletree and a refreshing new hotel experience.”
