David Taylor Joins New York Palace as ED, Marketing

Chairman of NYC & Company's Signature Collection Brings 28 Years of Experience to Landmark Manhattan Property

NEW YORK, NY, May 1, 2008. The New York Palace Hotel, today announced the appointment of David Taylor as Executive Director - Marketing. Mr. Taylor joins The Palace from The St. Regis Hotel in New York, where he served as the Director of Sales and Marketing for the past five years. Since 2005, he has been the Chairman of NYC & Company's Signature Collection, a marketing partnership representing the 17 top luxury hotels in New York City.

In his new role, Mr. Taylor will oversee all sales, revenue management and marketing initiatives and serve as a member of the Palace Executive Committee.

Prior to his work with The St. Regis Hotel, Mr. Taylor completed an extensive tenure with Swissotel/Raffles International where he led marketing initiatives in Boston, New York Istanbul, and London. In his final position with Swissotel/Raffles as the Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for The United Kingdom, he successfully repositioned Raffles Brown's Hotel from number six to number one in its competitive set. In the year 2000, Mr. Taylor was the recipient of an award for Outstanding Achievement in Sales and Marketing from The American Academy of Hospitality Sciences.
