AC Hotel Columbus Dublin Builds Culinary Team

In preparation for opening, executive chef and lead bartender are appointed

Dublin, OH. September 6, 2017 - The executive team at AC Hotel Columbus Dublin, located in the heart of the upscale, new Bridge Park neighborhood just 20 minutes from downtown Columbus, is pleased to announce the appointment of William Fugitt as Executive Chef and Engin Yildiz as Lead Bartender.

In this new role, Chef Fugitt will oversee the daily operations of the AC Kitchen and rooftop restaurant and bar, VASO, as well as lead and manage the culinary team to coordinate catering for special events. Bringing nearly 20 years of experience and an extensive background in hospitality and dining, Chef Fugitt was previously the Sous Chef at The Renaissance Hotel by Marriott in Columbus, Ohio. Beginning his culinary career as the Chef de Partie at Jean-Louis at The Watergate Hotel in Washington D.C., he discovered his true love for cooking and ventured to France for a culinary mentorship. After a year spent sharpening his skills, Fugitt returned to the U.S., where he worked in various positions in Chicago, Florida and as a private chef in New York, before finding his niche in Columbus, Ohio.

Additionally, the team is happy to welcome Engin Yildiz as Lead Bartender, responsible for curating the cocktail menus at the lobby bar and VASO, the Spanish-inspired rooftop restaurant and bar. Originally from Turkey, he brings with him years of international experience and an eye for incorporating the latest trends in mixology. Yildiz began his career as a bartender at the Conrad Istanbul and went on to become Bar Supervisor at the Vogue Restaurant & Bar Istanbul, spending time in between at hotels and restaurants such as Spice Market by Jean Georges at W Istanbul. In 2016, Yildiz was crowned the best bartender in Turkey during the World Class Club, a competition that brings together the best bartending talent from around the globe.
