Cincinnati USA CVB Sales Team Grows with Recent Additions

A new Director of Convention Strategies and National Sales Manager bolster Cincinnati USA's sales force.

CINCINNATI, OH. June 26, 2017 - The Cincinnati USA Convention & Visitors Bureau added to its sales department with the recent hires of Director of Convention Strategy, John Browarsky, and National Sales Manager, Jeff Simic.

“Our already solid sales team became even stronger with the additions of John and Jeff,” said Barrie Perks, VP of Sales and Services for the Cincinnati USA CVB. “As Cincinnati continues to experience great development, their experience, knowledge of the region and involvement in the industry will strengthen our ability to be successful and attractive as a destination.”

John Browarsky comes to the Cincinnati USA CVB with diversified experience in the travel industry including operations, sales and, for the past 16 years, revenue management. At the CVB, his role in revenue management will continue as Browarsky works with the region's hotels and convention facilities to optimize room night production of group business.

“This is an exciting time to be working with the CVB to continue to enhance our city,” Browarsky said. “By analyzing our productivity and offerings, we as a city will continue to grow and thrive. I'm happy to be part of that ongoing progress.”

Most recently, Browarsky served as Director of Revenue Management for the Westin Cincinnati. Prior to his time at the Westin, Browarsky held multi-property revenue management positions with Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Sage Hospitality and Winegardner & Hammons and was Sales Systems Administrator with the Westin Copley Place in Boston.

Browarsky is an active member in several meeting and hospitality organizations, including Certified Revenue Management Executive, Certified Tourism Ambassador, Destination Marketing Association International and Market Analysis Professionals.

Jeff Simic joins the CVB sales team as a National Sales Manager with an emphasis on business trade associations, engineering, scientific, environmental, medical and pharmaceutical meetings. Simic will use his sales experience to attract groups of 250+ to Cincinnati and to enhance the region's reputation as a top national meetings destination.

“The CVB has established Cincinnati as a premiere meetings destination. I'm happy to come on board at a time when our city is on the brink of even more growth and success,” Simic said.

Simic's previous experience includes positions with Starwood Hotels & Resorts, W Hotel in Washington DC, Mid-Atlantic Metro Market and Sheraton Premiere at Tysons Corner. Most recently, Simic worked at Westin Cincinnati as Group Sales Manager.

Simic is a member of the Ohio Society of Association Executives (OSAE) and the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA), and is a Certified Tourism Ambassador.
