ASPEN, CO. June 22, 2017 — Aspen Skiing Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Alinio Azevedo as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the company's hospitality division. The new role will oversee The Little Nell, a five-star, five-diamond property located slopeside to Aspen Mountain as well as the contemporary Limelight Hotel properties which include the Limelight Hotel Aspen, the recently opened Limelight Hotel Ketchum and the Limelight Hotel Snowmass, which is scheduled to open Nov. 2018. Azevedo brings an abundance of hospitality experience to his new role through his previous positions at both Loews Hotels and Resorts and Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.

“We are thrilled to welcome Alinio to Aspen Skiing Company and excited to see him thrive in his new role as the hospitality division of Aspen Skiing Company continues to expand,” says Mike Kaplan, CEO of Aspen Skiing Company. “Alinio not only brings a breadth of hospitality experience to the job, but he is also a life-long skier who will bring this passion and enthusiasm to our mountain community.”

Azevedo most recently served as the Vice President for Loews Hotels and Resorts with a focus on expanding the properties portfolio internationally. Prior to working for Loews, Azevedo spent eight years at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts working his way up to the position of Vice President of Development, Americas. Earlier in Azevedo's career, he worked at Ernst and Young in the Global Transaction Real Estate Group as well as for Driftwood Hospitality Management.

In addition to Azevedo's notable hospitality career, his passion for the occupation started at a young age. Azevedo's parents owned and operated a hotel in his home country of Brazil, which allowed him to learn all aspects of the business early-on.

“I am very excited to be joining Aspen Skiing Company at this moment of significant growth,” says Azevedo. “The Little Nell and Limelight properties enjoy extraordinary reputation in the marketplace, and I look forward to working with this team of talented hospitality professionals to continue to deliver superior service to our guests, enhance relationships with our communities, and to further expand our portfolio.”
