First Chair Last Call: Topnotch Resort Invites Visitors to Ski Like a Local this Winter

STOWE, VT. November 24, 2016 — When it comes to escaping crowds and finding the freshest powder, ski buffs heading to Stowe, VT should take a cue from the locals. Topnotch Resort, Stowe's only luxury boutique resort, makes it easy for guests to catch the first chair lift up the mountain and “après ski” all night with the new First Chair Last Call package.

“For locals, winter is all about uninterrupted time on the mountain,” said Ryan Krukar, general manager of Topnotch Resort. “Our goal at Topnotch is to fully immerse our guests in the Stowe culture. That means early runs on the slopes that leave plenty of time to discover Vermont's famed craft beer and locally sourced food scene.”

Recently ranked one of the top ten resorts in New England by the Conde Nast Traveler Reader's Choice Awards, Topnotch Resort's First Chair Last Call package includes:

· Room accommodations

· One lift ticket to Stowe Mountain Resort per person, per night

· Early morning shuttle service to and from the mountain

· $100 food and beverage credit to be used at The Roost or Flannel (one food credit per stay)

Rates start at $435 per night, based on double occupancy; two-night minimum required. Rate varies based on number of guests per room. The First Chair Last Call package valid for stays from December 11, 2016 to March 31, 2017 and is subject to availability, blackout dates may apply.

Complimentary shuttle service from Topnotch to the slopes starts as early as 6:30am to catch the first chair of the day. The lift at Stowe Mountain Resort opens at 8:00am Monday to Friday and at 7:30am on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

The menu features a variety of small plates and classic dishes with a Vermont twist such as maple lychee BBQ wings and fresh halibut breaded with a Heady Topper tempura.
