The Roost at Topnotch Resort Adds Live Music and New Menu in Time for Ski Season

. November 09, 2016

STOWE, VT. November 9, 2016 — Recently ranked as one of the top ten resorts in New England by the Conde Nast Reader's Choice Awards, Topnotch Resort is preparing for winter with the introduction of the First Chair Last Call Call Apres Music Series and a new menu at The Roost. Now open for lunch and dinner, the restaurant and lounge aims to be a go-to apres ski venue for guests and the community this winter.

Just in time for ski season, The Roost is now home to the First Chair Last Call Apres Music Series with live musical performances on Friday and Saturday evenings from 6-9 p.m. throughout the winter season. Adding to The Roost's social atmosphere is a 20 beer tap system featuring local craft beer and hard cider, Shuffleboard Dining Bar, comfy oversized couches, and an outdoor fire pit.

The Roost also features a reimagined menu this winter from newly appointed Executive Chef Eli Fortney. The new menu features a variety of small plates and upgraded classics with a Vermont twist. Fresh halibut is breaded with a Heady Topper tempura and paired with mushy dilly beans, house fries and spicy aioli for a new spin on Fish and Chips, while Vermont bacon and cheese are featured throughout the menu in dishes like the Northern Shrimp and Grits and the Bacon Cheeseburger Soup.

“The new menu has given Chef Eli the chance to create some fun and fresh items for the winter season,” said Ryan Krukar, general manager of Topnotch Resort. “With the addition of lunch and the weekend music series, the goal is to create a lively place where guests and locals can stop by to relax after day on the mountain...or anytime.”

The Roost is now open for lunch Monday-Sunday from 12 p.m.-2 a.m. For more information, visit http://www.topnotchresort.com/explore/dining/the-roost/.
