Director of Spa and Retail Operations at Glenwood Hot Springs Named Treasurer of the Balneology Association of North America

BERKELY, CA. October 19, 2016 - The Balneology Association of North America (BANA) recently selected new association officers and they include David Erlich, Director of Spa and Retail Operations at Glenwood Hot Springs.
For those who don't know, balneology is the art and science of bathing in natural mineral waters for health and wellness benefits. It has been practiced throughout the ages in cultures around the globe especially in Europe and Asia. The knowledge and practice of balneology in North America is comparatively recent. The goal of BANA is to support research and provide education about the healing benefits of soaking in the natural mineral waters of North America for the purpose of personal health.
David Erlich has served on BANA's board of directors for six months and was recently selected as the Association's new treasurer, a two year term. “I am most appreciative of the opportunity to serve the geothermal segment of the spa industry in this fashion. Balneology is a core component of Glenwood Hot Springs and has been integrated into Spa of the Rockies menu offerings,” said Erlich.
“Glenwood Hot Springs is one of Colorado's most historic and revered geothermal resources; we've seen a resurgence of interest in the practice of balneology. David, in his new leadership role at BANA will be in a position to help grow this niche market and educate interested parties about the benefits of soaking in general and at Glenwood Hot Springs in particular,” said Jeremy Gilley, Director of Sales and Revenue for Glenwood Hot Springs and the Spa of the Rockies.
As Treasurer, Erlich was a featured speaker at “Colorado Waterfest,” a BANA sponsored event held in Manitou Springs, Sept. 30 - Oct. 1.
