Worldhotels Strengthens Its Digital Team

Appointment of Two Key Account Managers in Orlando and Frankfurt am Main

ORLANDO, FL. October 6, 2016 - Worldhotels, a leading group of independent hotels worldwide, is further strengthening its online focus by appointing two digital key account managers. Daniel Spellman joins the Worldhotels marketing team in Orlando; Meg Tsukada is based at the head office in Germany. The two new additions will conduct comprehensive audits of the hotel websites in order to identify online gaps. They will also provide consulting services to member hotels to increase website conversion rates.

Both key account managers will work closely with Dirk Führer, the CEO for Worldhotels.

Spellman is a digital marketing and social media expert with a diverse background. Before joining Worldhotels, Spellman was the senior director of travel technology at the American Automobile Association (AAA) focused on developing mobile, social media and digital marketing technologies for 47 member clubs. He also worked at Travelocity.com as the director for the southeastern United States, South America and French Polynesia. His responsibilities included contracting, account management and product development for over 30,000 partner hotels.

Based in Frankfurt am Main, Tsukada will support individual online direct channels to drive additional direct bookings to independent hotels. Tsukada is a digital online marketing expert with more than 10 years' experience in the online travel industry and has worked for several successful start-ups in Japan and Germany. Before joining Worldhotels, Tsukada was product marketing manager at Microsoft Deutschland, where she was responsible for all mobile marketing strategies, social media and public relations for over one million users. She was a senior search engine marketing specialist at Expedia for Japan, Korea and other markets in the Southeast Asian region. Her focus was on account management and market entry strategy. During her time there, she managed pay-per-click campaigns for 200,000 hotels, driving 80 percent year-on-year revenue growth.
