SANTA FE, N.M. September 29, 2016 - Luminaria Restaurant at Santa Fe's award-winning Inn and Spa at Loretto, A Destination Hotel, is proud to introduce new Executive Chef Anthony Smith.

“Chef Smith has international training and experience along with a deep knowledge of the flavors, textures and history of food in Santa Fe, making him a great fit for our local and visiting diners” said General Manager Tom McCann.

Smith will be coming to Luminaria from his former position as Executive Chef at the Eldorado Hotel & Spa's Old House restaurant, Agave Lounge and CAVA Santa Fe Lounge.

“Santa Fe is a wonderful place for me to continue to build a great community in my kitchen and with those dining at Luminaria,” said Smith. "I am honored to be working with a fine team in a beautiful location where we can focus on presentation, innovation and regional flavors in the future."

Smith started his career as an apprentice at the age of 16 in London and has since served as Executive Chef at The Westin Park Central & Sheraton Park in Dallas, Executive Chef at The Westin Atlanta North in Atlanta and Executive Sous Chef at The Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa in Tucson, Arizona. Smith graduated from The City & Guilds of London with a degree in Culinary & Patisserie Arts and Hotel and Restaurant management. Smith served as the Executive Chef at The Westin Stonebriar Resort in North Dallas and oversaw the opening of The Sheraton Stonebriar.

The London native is an avid fan of the Chelsea football club of the English Premier League and enjoys traveling, especially to Thailand for the “street food,” wine and microbrews.
