Hilton Houston Post Oak Completes Guestroom Phase of Multi-Million Dollar Renovation

HOUSTON, TX. September 14, 2016 - Hilton Houston Post Oak, a 448-room hotel in the heart of Houston's Galleria area, has a new look of comfort and ease after a multi-million dollar renovation project featuring freshly designed room accommodations, stunning glass atrium lobby, welcoming front desk and tasteful culinary outlets. Hotel guest rooms have been completed and provide an enriched and comforting experience for guests.

These latest improvements to the guest rooms include a modern bathroom featuring new marble floors and glass shower stalls replacing the tub in most rooms. The renovation of the guest rooms included a fresh color palette on the walls, new marble entrance, new drapery and an upgraded bedding package. Advanced technology features were also added during this modernization phase and include new digital key lock system for guest rooms that allows Hilton HHonors members thru the Hilton app to check-in from anywhere, choose their own room in advance and use their phone as a digital key to unlock the door.

The process is easy. Within 24 hours of arrival, Hilton HHonors members who book direct through Hilton's channels can digitally check-in, choose their exact room from a digital floorplan and request a Digital Key through the HHonors app. Hilton Houston Post Oak will notify guests via the app as soon as their room is ready. HHonors members with previous stay history can then head straight to their room when they arrive, pressing the virtual “unlock” button on the app when they're within five feet of their door.

The design team carefully considered the hotel's original contemporary architecture created by world renowned architect I. M. Pei. Timelessness, transitional styling, and flexibility were in forefront of the interior design concepts. In addition to guestrooms, renovations for the Hilton Post Oak included upgrades and enhancements to the fitness center and pool deck with new equipment and furniture to provide guests with everything they need for a great work out or a place to lounge in the sun.

The newly renovated Hilton Houston Post Oak is located in the center of the Uptown Houston business district, just one block from the Galleria Mall.
