MIAMI, FL. June 8, 2016 - Kimpton's Surfcomber Miami, South Beach is pleased to announce the return of Sean Flanigan as the general manager of the “backyard bliss,” design-inspired oceanfront hotel that combines the best of South Beach with the welcoming elements of surprise and delight the Kimpton brand is known for.

With eleven years of brand experience, Flanigan returns to South Florida with an invigorated vision. Tasked with elevating the overall guest experience at Surfcomber to a new level of excellence, Flanigan will oversee all property operations, sales and revenue, marketing, and management functions. His goal - to maintain the highest performance levels, as well as guest and employee satisfaction.

“Surfcomber is a hotel unlike any other due to its unique style, character and location, and one that I very much enjoyed managing,” said Flanigan. “Visitors seeking an alternative destination experience enjoy its high level of service, and social, fun and welcoming atmosphere. My goal is to continue to build on that success and bring it to a new level with fresh concepts and new service offerings that make a Surfcomber stay nothing less than exceptional.”

Flanigan has a vast portfolio of managerial experience with Kimpton hotels, having served as hotel manager for Hotel Monaco Philadelphia, Surfcomber Miami, and most recently, The Muse New York in Times Square, one of U.S. News & World Report's “2016 Best Hotels in New York City.” In that role, he was responsible for a $15 million dollar renovation to the fashionable New York City boutique hotel, which included completely re-imagined guest rooms and a refresh to the hotel's chic and timeless design.

Flanigan has also been part of the opening teams for several Kimpton hotels including Ink48 in New York, the Palomar Philadelphia, the Palomar Phoenix, and EPIC, Miami - Kimpton's flagship property in the Florida market.

Now back at Surfcomber, Flanigan is anxiously looking forward to getting back involved in some of Surfcomber's more popular guest programs, such as Run with the Manager, a Tuesday evening run with participating hotel guests.
