MARTHA'S VINEYARD, MA. May 24, 2016 - Martha's Vineyard's historic Kelley House has appointed European-trained hospitality veteran Patrick Cabido as general manager. In his new role, Cabido is charged with providing strategic leadership expertise to ensure effective daily operations.

“It is our pleasure to welcome Patrick to Kelley House,” said Clark Guinn, regional director of operations for Scout Hotel and Resort Management, operator of Kelley House. “He brings a wealth of experience managing hotels and restaurants in major markets, and his competencies make him an asset to the continued success of the property.”

A native of Stockholm, Cabido emigrated to the United States in 1998 and was recruited by Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts to serve as room service manager at The Pierre in New York City. From there, he spent almost two decades honing his skills in a variety of hospitality, restaurant and club operations on the East and West Coasts. This included seven years at Le Charlot, an upscale French restaurant on Manhattan's Upper East Side. Spreading his entrepreneurial wings, Cabido then joined forces with Jamie Mulholland (Cain) and Jayma Cardoso to create GoldBar in Manhattan to which he devoted the next three years.

Shortly thereafter, Cabido joined the Cain Leisure team in Montauk for the launch of Surf Lodge. In 2011 Patrick founded his own consultancy, Three Crown Hospitality, where he oversaw what is now Haven Montauk Hotel. In 2013 Patrick was tapped as food and beverage director of Soho House NY, while remaining a consultant for Surf Lodge, Haven Montauk and various lifestyle brands in California including Cardiff Giant and EDL.

Fluent in seven languages, Cabido earned a Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management from l'Ecole Hotelière, followed by a Business Degree from Lausanne Business School.
