SCRUB ISLAND, B.V.I. April 7, 2016 - Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina, BVI recently appointed Dr. Rajamannar Chinnaraju as spa director of its luxurious Ixora Spa, where he will oversee the extensive menu of services, daily operations and highly skilled staff. With a degree in Naturopathic Medicine and Yoga Therapy from Dr. M.G.R. Medical University in India, Chinnaraju brings more than seven years of experience in spa and wellness menu design and management of five-star hotel and resort spas.

Prior to joining Ixora Spa, Chinnaraju was wellness consultant and yoga specialist at Peter Island Resort & Spa in the British Virgin Islands, where he played an instrumental role in developing the five-star resort's wellness spa. Chinnaraju's other experience in the BVI includes time as spa manager and yoga instructor for The Spa at Leverick Bay, The Spar at Biras Creek Resort, The Spa at Bitter End Yacht Club and The Spa at Nail Bay Resort. In each instance, Chinnaraju was responsible for designing spa treatments and packages and wellness activities and programs, staff training, daily operations and selection of products and amenities. Chinnaraju maintains numerous certifications, specializes in Ayurvedic Panchakarma wellness treatments and practices the healing powers of nature and Ayurveda.
