First Hospitality Group Recognized in FORBES America's Best Midsize Employers 2016

ROSEMONT, IL. April 7, 2016 - Rosemont, Illinois-based First Hospitality Group, Inc. (FHG), a leading hotel management, acquisition and development company, ranked 28th in FORBES America's Best Midsize Employers 2016 compilation. FHG President & CEO Bob Habeeb made the announcement.

The highest-ranking employers were LL Bean, The Container Store, Novo Nordisk, Esri and Boston College, but other well-known brands and institutions including Yelp, Princeton, Baylor, Clemson and Loyola Universities and renowned hospitals such as Memorial Sloan Kettering and St. Judes also made the list. FHG was the only hospitality company in the top 50, coming in ahead of other notable industry names such as, The Biltmore Company (#90), Golden Nugget Las Vegas (#109), Holiday Inn (#137), Great Wolf Resorts (#173) and Best Western International (#205).

To compile the America's Best Midsize Employers list, FORBES worked with online statistics provider Statista and asked more than 30,000 U.S. workers in established companies throughout the nation to determine which of them make their employees feel secure, understood, needed and inspired. The result is the list of 250 midsize companies, with 1,000 to 5,000 employees. Willingness to recommend one's own employer was the most important metric in compiling the FORBES lists. Employees were asked to rate their employers on a zero to 10 scale, with zero meaning “I wouldn't recommend my employer under any circumstances” and 10 meaning “I would definitely recommend my employer.” A secondary component to the process involved asking employees to mention good or bad employers in sectors and industries besides their own.
