Maine's Cliff House Appoints Scott Spann as General Manager

OGUNQUIT, ME. Mar. 30, 2016 - Cliff House is pleased to announce the appointment of hospitality industry professional, Scott Spann as the property's new General Manager. In this role, Spann oversees all managerial duties for the new coastal Maine property leading up to the reopening in July 2016, following the completion of the first phase of a transformative renovation.

Spann joins the Cliff House team with over 20 years of hospitality experience, eight of which have been within the Destination Hotels portfolio. Most recently, Spann served as Area General Manager of three Washington-based properties, Suncadia Resort, Woodmark Hotel & Still Spa and Motif Seattle.

Prior to his role as Area General Manager in Washington, Spann held the title of General Manager for five years at Skamania Lodge, A Destination Hotel in Stevenson, Washington. During this time, Spann increased the hotel's revenue along with guest satisfaction by enhancing property culture and guest engagement as well as implementing a new and efficient operating structure.

Spann graduated from Oklahoma State University and contributes to various committees around the nation including Board of Directors for both Long Branch Chamber of Commerce, NJ and the Columbia River Gorge Visitors Association.
