PONTE VEDRA BEACH, FL. January 27, 2016 - The AAA Five Diamond Ponte Vedra Inn & Club announces Troy Bennett as its new Vice President and General Manager, effective immediately. In his position, Bennett is responsible for leading key operations, overseeing sales and marketing, and leading a staff of over 700 at the Florida resort.

With over 25 years in the industry, Bennett brings with him extensive experience in senior management positions. In his most recent position as Founder and Principal at eXceed Hospitality Asset Advisors, an independent hospitality operations advisory firm, he worked both nationally and internationally with hotel brands such as The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Westin, Starwood's Luxury Collection, Hilton, and Marriott International, among many independent luxury resorts worldwide.

Prior to eXceed, Bennett held the position of Senior Vice President of Operations & Asset Management for Gencom's $5B Ritz-Carlton and luxury hotel portfolio. Bennett also previously served as Vice President of Asset Management for Host Hotels & Resorts where he managed a $1B portfolio of 15 hotels in North, Central and South America. Additional past positions held include Managing Director of Benchmark Hospitality Personal Luxury Hotel & Resort Division, Managing Director with the Kessler Collection and General Manager at various luxury independent hotels and resorts.

Bennett attended the University of Florida before graduating from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. In addition, he has completed courses in Hospitality Law at Harvard Law and the Fundamentals of Hotel Investment and Financial Decisions at Cornell University.

He is a member of the Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA), a globally recognized elite group of hospitality professionals, who by combining education and experience with dedication to the industry have achieved a high level of expertise.
