The Renaissance World Golf Village Resort in Jacksonville/St. Augustine, Florida Adds Cathy Jones As National Sales Manager

JACKSONVILLE/ST. AUGUSTINE, FL November 18, 2015 - The Renaissance World Golf Village Resort and Convention Center in Jacksonville/St. Augustine, Florida has expanded its sales team with the addition of Cathy Jones as National Sales Manager. In her position she is responsible for coordinating meetings, conventions, and incentive programs at the award-winning resort. Together with the adjacent World Golf Hall of Fame, The Renaissance World Golf Village Resort and Convention Center is the largest combination hotel and convention center between Atlanta and Orlando, with 101,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space. The announcement of Jones' appointment was made by the resort's Director of Sales & Marketing William McBroom.

Prior to joining the resort, Jones served for three years as the Director of Sales & Marketing for the 27,000-acre Lajitas Golf Resort in West Texas, where she was responsible for overseeing the luxurious resort's sales, marketing, media relations, and e-commerce efforts. A highly respected hospitality industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience, Jones also has served as National Sales Manager for the U.S. and Canadian incentive and corporate markets for Convention Planning Services, a Destination Management Company that is based in Orlando, Florida. Her extensive experience also includes serving as Senior Account Executive for TradeWinds Resort on St. Pete Beach, Florida; Director of National Sales for the historic La Quinta Resort and Club in Palm Springs, California; as National Director of Sales and Marketing for Meadowbrook Golf Group, Inc., a major developer and owner of top golf course properties throughout the United States; and as Senior Convention Sales Representative for the Kissimmee-St. Cloud Convention & Visitors Bureau. She is a Certified Meeting Planner (CMP), with formal training in hotel management, accounting, front desk operations, and food & beverage management.
