IRVINE, CA October 7, 2015 - Pacifica Hotels, the largest owner and operator of independent hotels on the Pacific Coast, announced today the appointment of two new key executives: Scott Quigle as Executive Vice President of Accounting and Finance and Chris Marquis as Vice President and Principal of Pacifica Hotels.

Scott Quigle, an Orange County native, recently returned to the area from Atlanta where he worked as the Vice President and Controller for iStar Financial Incorporated, a hybrid public REIT. Quigle brings a wealth of experience including implementing and overseeing the development of accounting process for over $4.5 billion of capital investments; overseeing the due diligence and securing financing for $1.5 billion in commercial real estate investments; managing accounting and finance functions for the sale and disposition of over $3 billion of commercial real estate; and managing the technology conversion of 200 office and retail properties to a standardized platform.

Quigle is a CPA, a graduate of Biola University, and a graduate of Georgia State's Executive MBA program. He will be based out of Pacifica Hotels' Irvine headquarters and will oversee all accounting-related functions within the company.

Chris Marquis joins Pacifica Hotels from GE Capital's Experienced Commercial Leadership program where he worked with senior leaders to launch new commercial platforms, develop new business products, and manage loans for hotels, multi-family, and commercial properties through GE's Commercial Real Estate Lending group. Prior to GE, Marquis was with Donahue Schriber, a private REIT specializing in retail shopping centers, where he underwrote new acquisitions and created budgets for their $2 billion portfolio. He also spent five years at Sperry Van Ness, a commercial brokerage firm, where he worked with the top retail team and closed over $350 million in transactions.

Marquis holds a MBA from the University of California, Irvine, and is a graduate of Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. He will work closely with the Asset Management Team and will oversee Investor Relations from Pacifica Hotels' Santa Barbara office.

"As Pacifica Hotels' growth continues to gain momentum, we will continue to seek top quality talent," said CEO and President Matt Marquis. "Scott and Chris each possess a highly-specialized skill set and a passion for the industry. We are pleased to have them on board and look forward to their contributions."

With a focus on refining and growing the portfolio through strategic asset acquisitions and full-property renovations, strong leadership will help Pacifica Hotels to remain consistent with their mission to provide exceptional hospitality experiences and unique lodging products to their guests.

Over the past several months, Pacifica Hotels' executive team has been reinforced through promotions and additions: Matt Marquis was promoted to Chief Executive Officer, Adam Marquis to Executive Vice President, Todd Moreau to Chief Operating Officer, and Daniel Hyde to Vice President of Design. Stephen Medel also joined the team in January as Vice President of Business Development.
