Pennsylvania's Skytop Lodge Names David Long New Food and Beverage Director

SKYTOP, PA. Aug. 12, 2015 — Skytop Lodge has brought on David Long as the resort's director of food and beverage, where he will be responsible for the overall department operations, budgeting, maintenance of quality standards and training.

Long has 29 years of food and beverage experience in hospitality settings, most recently as the food and beverage director at the Mansion on Forsyth Park in Savannah, Ga., one of Savannah's top boutique hotels. Previously, he served in that capacity at the Crowne Plaza St. Paul-Riverfront (St. Paul, Minn.), the Renaissance Baton Rouge and the Crowne Plaza Resort in Hilton Head Island, S.C. While there, Long was recognized for the highest combined and improved food and beverage profit within the Hotel Management Group of the InterContinental Hotels Group. The following year, in 2007, Long was recognized as the Best Food and Beverage Director within the Hotel Management Group. It was during this time that he was assigned to special projects that took him to the Crowne Plaza Manhattan and the InterContinental Resort in Puerto Rico.

Long's hospitality portfolio also includes working in many resorts around the world in such locations as Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Africa, Norway and South America.
